Your Kingdom Come
If we have been praying “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” then we should have an expectation that the righteous heavenly kingdom is increasingly pressing on the earthly ones. The good news we carry is connected with “repent the kingdom of heaven is at hand” or near and that will not only press on men’s hearts but also on the kingdoms in which they live.
The idea there is a separation between the sacred and the secular is coming into a place of complete meltdown. Even the devil has no intention of ultimately being content with that kind of division. He offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would only fall down and worship him, as the ultimate authority. We know our Lord taught that a house or kingdom divided cannot stand.
It is not a time to separate our lives back into my business and God’s business. Ananias and Sapphira tried that and died. When we cross over into new territory or a new season in our promised land as Achan did, there will always be the opportunity to decide…Is it God’s gold or mine? The reward of costly lessons, for the remnant, can always be a return to the fear of the Lord and something greater breaking forth.
“And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things.
At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people;” (Acts 5:11-12) NASU
