2017… A Year to Work Together and Divide the Spoils

This coming year will be a time when the generations are being pushed to work together in increasingly significant ways. A prophetic picture of this is the way President-elect Trump is being pushed by questions of “conflict of interest” to work with his older children to divide up responsibility for the Trump business holdings. His new calling is actually forcing him to interact with his children on a different level and they are being called up to new levels of responsibility.

The Esther 4:14 call of Mordecai is being released as we close out this Hebrew/Jewish month of Kislev and the season of Hanukkah. "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" (NASU)

Mordecai and Esther are from the tribe of Benjamin which is the tribe associated with the Hebrew/Jewish month of Kislev. Benjamin was given a prophecy by his father Jacob that he would be like a hungry wolf, devouring his enemies and then dividing the plunder. (Genesis 49:27)

With God’s help and their persistence to work together generationally, Mordecai and Esther were able to overcome Haman, the cunning enemy of the Jewish people. The King then gave Queen Esther everything that belonged to the estate of Haman. Esther appointed Mordecai as administrator over all the property she had received. So these two Benjamites fulfilled prophecy by dividing the spoils of the estate of the highest ranking official (demonic structure) in the Persian Empire.

The tribe of Benjamin’s symbol is the wolf to remind us to rely on teamwork and a family pack mentality to survive. During this Hanukkah season we remember the Maccabee family and how a father and his five sons fought together to end the unholy domination of the Jewish people and the Temple by the Seleucid Empire of Syria.

This will be a year to work together generationally in increasingly significant ways.

414 has been a significant number this month. The Isaiah 41:4 call is going out:

"Who has performed and accomplished it,

Calling forth the generations from the beginning?

' I, the Lord, am the first, and with the last. I am He.'" (NASU)

It will be a year to remember to divide the spoils. The spoils may be the transfer of honor to another for the next season. “On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; so that they revered him, just as they had revered Moses all the days of his life.” (Joshua 4:14 NASU)
