Resting in the Zeal of the Lord

It is especially important right now to rest in the zeal of the Lord for us. His passion and righteous jealousy over His remnant can sometimes seem hidden. The only zeal we are able to perceive is aimed at our personal transformation. We find ourselves standing in the gap between the zeal we believe we are expressing for His kingdom and the response we think we should be receiving.

However, as Daniel found, there is a time and season when judgment is passed “in favor of the saints of the Most High God.” (Daniel 7:22) Stand in that gap right now and you will see the Lord coming to meet your “little” zeal with His zeal.

Isaiah 42:13

13 The Lord will go forth like a warrior,

He will arouse His zeal like a man of war.

He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry.
